Aloha! My name is Taylor. I am 28 years old, and I live on the beautiful Island of Oahu, Hawaii with my husband, my pup, and my two kitties! I specialize in Adventure Elopements, Couples sessions, and Underwater Photography. I absolutely love to hike, especially to get to an amazing session location. I have been doing portrait photography for 5 years, and I officially opened Taylor Michelle Photography in 2019! In my spare time, I love to hike, chase waterfalls (sorry TLC), swim, kayak, and hang at the beach. My husband and my fur babies are my absolute best friends, but I love my girls nights! When I’m with my couples, I focus on prompts and activities over poses, and just generally making sure that my couples are having an absolute blast. 90% of my sessions end in the water, because HAWAII! I am also a sucker for a great champagne pop! I hope that I am lucky enough to still be photographing amazing couples when I'm 80.
My end all goal. You have a kick ass time in your session, and you have kick ass photos to last a lifetime.
How it started.

In 2018, I was in my 6th year of a 4-year degree. I was miserable. My mind had no interest in learning about the education system any longer. Teaching was no longer a passion of mine, but I felt too close to the finish line to quit. I came home one day and told my husband that there was no way I could teach in a classroom one day. His response was "I don't blame you. What do you want to do?" That got me thinking. I had no idea. One of the first options That Sloan brought up was learning about photography, and by the end of the night, my he helped me order a camera, lens, and educational program. We just knew that it was going to be the perfect fit for me. Looking back, that was a huge leap of faith, but I am so glad that my best friend had that kind of confidence in me. I started my class two days later when my camera came in, and I was amazed. My passion for learning came back. I worked on my class for hours each day. I couldn't get enough of learning about photography. I wanted to know everything, and I still do. Continuing education for photography is still so important to me. Between styled shoots, online courses, and retreats, I am constantly eager to learn something new.
